Grey Lourie (Corythaixoides concolor)

The Grey Lourie is a large bird, plain grey all over with a long crest on its head.
Habitat is bushveld, savanna and woodland.

Call is a long nasal "gowaaay".

The Grey Lourie feeds on fruits, flowers, insects and seeds.

The Grey Lourie usually nests in the top of a thorny tree. The nest is made of dry twigs.
