Banded-legged Golden Orb-web Spider (Nephilia senegalensis).

The Banded-legged Golden Orb-web Spider in these pictures is a female. In the bottom picture, on the left, a male can be seen, above and to the left of the female. The male is tiny compared to the female and is sometimes found in the web.

This female is about three inches (75mm) in length. The Golden Orb-web Spider hangs in a large golden coloured silk web suspended between branches.
